Sonal Goel, an accomplished IAS officer, was recently invited to Mussoorie by the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) to deliver a keynote speech and engage in an interaction with senior civil servants from the Maldives.
The event aimed to shed light on the theme of "Women Inclusive Governance in India" and foster knowledge sharing and collaboration between the two nations.
During her address, Sonal Goel emphasized various initiatives undertaken in India under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, focusing on promoting women's empowerment and inclusive governance. She highlighted significant programs such as the Aatm Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Livelihood Missions, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, PMMVY (Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana), Mission Shakti, and various social security and welfare schemes.
In addition to discussing the crucial initiatives led by the central government and various state governments, Sonal Goel shared her personal contributions to the cause of women empowerment.
She highlighted the notable ‘Nandini’ project in Gomati District, Tripura, which was recognized as a best practice on Civil Service Day in 2016. Furthermore, she discussed the impactful "Soch Pe Dastak" campaign that she spearheaded during her tenure in Jhajjar District, Haryana.
Expressing her gratitude for the platform provided by the NCGG, Sonal Goel emphasized the importance of such collaborative efforts and the exchange of ideas in fostering inclusive governance on an international scale.
